Once school was out for the semester it was time to unwind and enjoy family and the boys! I have been on my toes for sure. So much has been going on.. A post to describe what has been going on would be WAY to long so I'll spare you. However here are a few things that have been keeping me busy!
One day in early April, Aunt Reba called and told me I had a lunch date with her and Lucretia. No questions just here is the time and where to be :) Never ask questions just say yes ma'am and be there. It turned out that it was actually the Rankin Chamber Administrative Assistant Luncheon that they call Purses and Pearls. Cretia, Aunt Reba and I had a lot of fun. We got to sit at a table with other people we knew and play catch up on everyone. I always enjoy time with 2 of my favorite people!! Love them!!
For anyone that knows my youngest child any, knows that he LOVES anything that is creeping, crawly and everything in between. One of his favorite things to do during this time of the year is to go the ditch by our house and catch crawdads! Colton loves this too but he isn't as big into having them "live" at our house like Pierce is. Not only do they catch crawdads but they catch tadpoles and baby frogs. Baby frogs so small that they look like little rocks until they start jumping. If it were up to Pierce we would have a huge aquairum that housed all of these little creatures that he catches and brings up. But instead they live in a bucket of water in the carport for a while and then they have to go back to their home!
Oh how I have enjoyed being able to be involved with school things with the boys. When I was working, I felt bad for taking off a lot to do things with them at school. I didn't want work getting mad for me taking the time off. But since I was done with school I enjoyed it. Pierce had his field day first, it was a little chilly but a lot of fun. Here is Pierce and his buddy Carson. They are 2 peas in a pod, always together!!
Colton had his field day the week before school was over. It was a lot of fun too, but not so chilly! He had a lot of fun playing all the games with his friends as well!! It has been really nice to spend this time with the boys, especially since it will be hard to do for the next 2 years while I am in nursing school!
My mom also came into town for a week, which was nice. She came down to be part of Lucretia's baby shower, which was great. I'll have to post some pictures of that soon! I didn't get any pictures of the boys and nana or anything while she was here. Shame on me! We were on the go so much trying to get everything do for the shower and doing other things since momma was in town!
Speaking of Lucretia and Mr. KJ, he will be making his appearance on June 2 or before! We are SO excited to welcome that sweet boy into this crazy but loving family of ours!! He is already spoiled with tons of stuff. Aunt Alicia can't wait to spoil him!!!!!
