I was sent this email today and I thought it was really good advice. So I thought I would share with the few folks that read this blog. Even though I would love love love to have more people blogging with me... That would be another post, another time!
Health:
1. Drink plenty of water.
2. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a beggar.
3. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.
4. Live with the 3 E's -- Energy, Enthusiasm, and Empathy.
5. Make time to practice meditation, yoga, and prayer.
6. Play more games.
7. Read more books than you did in 2008.
8. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day.
9. Sleep for 7 hours.
10. Take a 10-30 minutes' walk every day. And while you walk, smile.
Personality:
11. Don't compare your life to others'. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
12. Don't have negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.
13. Don't over do. Keep your limits.
14. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
15. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip.
16. Dream more while you are awake.
17. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
18. Forget issues of the past. Don't remind your partner with his/her mistakes of the past. That will ruin your present happiness.
19. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Don't hate others.
20. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present.
21. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
22. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.
23. Smile and laugh more.
24. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
Society:
25. Call your family often.
26. Each day give something good to others.
27. Forgive everyone for everything.
28. Spend time with people over the age of 70 & under the age of 6.
29. Try to make at least three people smile each day.
30. What other people think of you is none of your business.
31. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will. Stay in touch.
Life:
32. Do the right thing!
33. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.
34. GOD heals everything.
35. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
36. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
37. The best is yet to come.
38. When you awake alive in the morning, thank GOD for it.
39. Your Inner most is always happy. So, be happy.
Last but not the least:
40. Please Forward this to everyone you care about.

Happy Birthday MiMi
Her birthday was yesterday, but I wanted to let her know that we love her and hope she had a great birthday. We all met up at Cock of the Walk last night to eat supper for her birthday. It was good. Of course, as good as you could get with 5 kids, ha! 4 of which were rather wild! Or actually 3 of the 5 were wild! All the boys, image that! :) We had a good time visiting. It is always great to get together and visit. Something that a lot of us don't get to do that much of with our crazy busy lives!
Happy Birthday MiMi! We love you!

Movie Review
Last week, Ryan and I had a holiday so we did some running around. And we also took the boys to the movies. Colton had been asking to go for a while, so off we went. We saw Hotel for Dogs. I can't lie, I wasn't really excited about seeing the movie but the only other movie for kids was Bedtime stories, and well I wasn't excited to see that either. So Hotel for Dogs won. The boys really liked it. Colton said it was a great movie! And even momma and daddy like it more than we thought we would! So all in all it was a good choice!!! :)

We did it!
The boys and I survived a week by ourselves, while Ryan was in New Mexico for a class. The week started off bad Monday night, and by the end of it, I thought there was NO way I could make it through the rest of the week with nights like Monday night was! But I think the boys figured that out and by Wednesday night were doing much better! And we had another good night last night! It was so nice to be able to enjoy the boys and not have to fuss and fight! Even after a trip to Home Depot and Wal-Mart looking for an outside faucet cover, since it was getting so cold. Of course, had I listened to my hubby and best friend I would have gone to the store Wednesday night. But honestly, the thought of me and 2 boys in Wal-Mart or Home Depot didn't sound appealing to me at all!! So I just left the water dripping in 2 sinks Wednesday night. It worked, so not too bad. However, last night was suppose to get even colder so I knew that I needed to get over it and go. So off we went, and guess what?? Both Home Depot and Wal-Mart were sold out. Not surprising, but I was hoping for a miracle and one place would have some. The nice man at Wal-Mart told me I could use newspaper and wrap the outside faucet with that and then put a "Wal-Mart" bag over that. Think he loves his job, as he was promoting using a Wal-Mart bag! So I got some duct tape and went home and followed instructions. And of course, I left the water dripping again! It worked!!
So anyway, the boys and I are excited about going to get Ryan from the airport tonight! Yes, it is great to know that the boys and I can survive while Ryan is out of town, the truth of the matter is, that we don't like it!! Its so much better with him home!!

Venting.. and more!
Sometimes I wish I could go back and change things that I did when I was younger. In hopes of it making a difference in the payback that I am receiving from my very strong-willed, stubborn boys! (I say that very lovingly) Think it will work????
From the little things such as talking. Lord knows I did and still do my fair share of that! I didn't get the nickname lightening lips and motor mouth for nothing! Colton is just like me talk, talk, and more talk!! At first it didn't look as Pierce would follow in my footsteps. He seemed to be more like his daddy, laid back, not too much to say! HA, we were wrong. He is following in his momma and brother's footsteps, another motor mouth! Poor Ryan! I keep thinking if I apologize to my family for having to listen to my neverending talking when I was younger, it would help.. Guess what... NO it doesn't. I know they are learning and asking questions is all part of that, but man it would be nice sometimes to have some peace and quiet. oh well.. I love them!!
Then you got the extremely strong-willed and stubborn part of both of my boys! I still haven't figured out, why being "momma" is so different from being "daddy"! Its like day and night the responses I get from the boys vs. the responses that Ryan gets from the boys! It baffels me! Well actually, it drives me NUTS! I know I know in the past, I have been more of a push over instead of sticking to my word! Which is very hard for me to admit, but thats the first step right?? So now I am less likely to say "One more time"! Most of the time now, its I told you once now here are the consequences! Which of course the boys don't like. What child would? The problem I am having, even at the young ages they are, is teaching them that the way momma used to be isn't the way she is anymore! Its time to realize that I am serious and when I tell you something, I mean it!!! They still haven't figured that out. The question is when will they??? Even though alot of time I feel guilty afterwards.. shh...don't tell the boys that. It is still a transformation in progress! I am still hoping that it will get better!
On another note, this has been a very trying week. Ryan left Monday morning heading to New Mexico for a bomb class. So its just the boys and me for the week! And boy, Monday night really tried my patience! Which for those of you that know me, is not so great! ( also a transformation in progress ). The boys are missing Ryan and well they thing it is their time to show out! WRONG answer!! We did have a better night last night. Pierce wouldn't talk to Ryan when he called last night. I think he is mad at Ryan for being gone. He is very attacted to his daddy! Colton was excited to talk to him and tell him about his day! I was too, it was nice to talk to him and kinda forget about the fussing and fighting between the boys, the laundry that needed to be done, the dishwasher that needed to be unloaded and reloaded, supper, baths and all the fun stuff you do after you get home from work.
Colton is starting to read! To me that is sad. Just another sign that my oldest baby, isn't a baby anymore! They are growing up way to fast! He has already lost 2 teeth and has 2 more that are loose! He is dying for one of them to come out. He keeps telling me that it is ready. But its really not! He is wanting it to be out by the time that Ryan gets home Friday. Doubtful, but we'll see. You never know! My best friend pointed out to me not too long ago that schools are not teaching phonic anymore. We were taught phonic when we were in school. Which is not a good thing for Colton. Why? Because his momma was awful in phonics and still is! How am I suppose to help him sound words out and stuff like that, when I still have problems of my own in that department?? Thank goodness for Daddy! :) Who will also be the life saver when it comes to math! Another weakness of momma!
Pierce is still loving daycare/ K-3! He is starting to get to where you can understand him better, most of the time! There are still times that I have NO clue what he is saying. And boy does he get so mad when you don't understand. Thank goodness, Colton can sometimes understand him when momma and daddy can't! He has definitely reached that point where he doesn't want much help with anything! He love dressing himself (even if the shirt is on backwards), putting his shoes on, and everything else!! Sign of my baby not being a baby! He is quick to tell you that he isn't a baby, he is a big boy! He was nicknamed "Monkey" as a baby because he loved to climb! That still hasn't gone away! He will climb on any and everything! He isn't scared of anything. He can stand on the couch and do a front flip with no hands (not that we encourge it but...) and he can do the same on the trampoline at Grandmas! He is definitely my dare devil child!
Anyway, I need to get back to work. I just needed to vent and catch up on everything that is going on!

Longing for Spring!!
I am not a fan of cold weather, AT ALL!!! I am a very cold natured person anyway, and cold weather makes it worse. But another reason why I don't like it, is because it means the boys have to stay inside!! UGH! They are boys, who LOVE to be outside. They could go outside first thing in the morning and stay out there all day ( for the most part ). You can't count all the trips inside, for nothing most of the time. I think they just have to make sure that we haven't left or anything, who knows. But anyway, on the way to school this morning, Colton was talking about playing outside. Momma can I please play outside? Colton, I PROMISE when it isn't raining and freezing ya'll can go outside. Momma and Daddy want ya'll to go outside just as much as ya'll do! PROMISE!! They are so stir crazy by the time spring gets here and so are Ryan and I. It makes for a long stressful, wanna pull your hair out winter!! Thank goodness its January, so only a few more months! :)

Just another weekend!
We had a good weekend. Nothing special! I did a little shopping on Saturday while the boys hung out at the house with Ryan. Then we went and had supper at Pizza Hut. The boys love going to Pizza Hut, all 3 of them! That is one of Ryan's favorite places and the boys love it because of the inside play place! It wore them down and gave them a chance to get out of the house. It rained all day yesterday, so they were stir crazy from being inside! Then this morning we got up and headed to church. Here is a pic of the boys dressed and ready to go to church! And of course I had to add pics of the girls in the house, Bella and Abby!

Starting to seem real!
Well as I posted the other day, I have started school again for my last semester of school! I am so excited!! Its hard to believe I will really be done! It seemed like it would never get here. Well now it is starting to set it. I got online this morning and applied for Graduation. You have to have that done by sometime in Feb., and well you know me, I don't like waiting for things, especially something like this! Just gotta stay focused and get through this last semester!!
Happy Birthday Grandma and Shane
I know I am a day late posting, but I didn't forget to tell them Happy Birthday!
Hope ya'll had a great birthday and have many more to come!

Fast Lane or Slow??
Why is it that Wal-Mart and Kroger never have enough lanes open? It drives me nuts to have to go to Wal-Mart ( more so than Kroger ) and have to stand in line forever because out of the 25 (so it seems) lanes that are in the store, only 4 are open? I know that is probably not exact, but you get the point. Wal-Mart is a busy place! If you aren't going to use all the lanes that were put there when the store was built, why put them there in the first place??
Kroger isn't as bad because my Kroger has a self check :) Which Wal-Mart does too, but theirs seem to always malfunction! And it takes forever to get an associate over there! Kroger not so bad! I am sure I am not the only one that this drives nuts!! And of course not to mention the rude people who are just standing somewhere ( in the middle ) and you say excuse me and they just look at you like you have lost your mind?? Its not like you just ram your way through the isle or wherever. You have nicely said excuse me, and it would be nice for them to nicely move over some, without giving you those looks! Anyway, thats my rant for the morning.

Better late than never!
Back in the swing of things
All the fun holidays and vacation is over and it is time to get back to normal daily living. Back to work and back to school. I came back to work this week after being off for 2 wks, man was that hard. The boys headed back to school as well. They did ok, seeing that we had been out of a routine for a while. We are getting back into the swing of being back out on our own! The boys are back to running wild ( which never changed ) and back into the routine. It was a little bit of an adjustment when it was time for Ryan to go to work and it was just me and the boys. For 6 months even when Ryan was working, it wasn't just the boys and me. We had Grandma, Aunt Reba, Eric and Uncle Lewis.
I started back school today! There is a light at the end of the tunnel! Its called May!! I am looking forward to that for sure! Colton will be starting an art class in Feb, and he is excited about that. He has really started enjoying drawing and coloring. He surely didn't get that from me, I am not creative at all! Nothing else interesting is going on. Its about time for me to post some random pics of the boys, hadn't done that in a while. I'll work on that!

Welcome to Dallas!
We got on the road Thursday morning around 7:30 headed to Dallas! It was a rather boring trip.. as there isn't much to look at. But we made the best of it. We took a DS and played it! Ryan drove most of the way, of course, but I did give him a break from time to time! We got to Dallas around 12:45 or so. By the way, if you have never been to Dallas, its very confusing and a lot of construction going on!! One road has 2 or 3 different names, turns to a different road, while never changing roads.. I could go on and on.. Not to mention, they drive like manics! You think Jackson drivers don't pay attention to speed limit signs, go to Dallas, its way worse!!
After making it to the hotel, we met up with Jerry, Kristen, Chad, Diane and Moose at a sports bar in downtown. The parade and pep rally were going to be down there. We met them at a place called Dick's Last Resort.. It was very crowded but we had a great time.

We are very glad that we made the trip, it was great. And man did we laugh lots while we were there. It is hard to find our way around so we laughed instead of getting mad!! Even GPS's get confused there!!!!!!!
