The boys and I survived a week by ourselves, while Ryan was in New Mexico for a class. The week started off bad Monday night, and by the end of it, I thought there was NO way I could make it through the rest of the week with nights like Monday night was! But I think the boys figured that out and by Wednesday night were doing much better! And we had another good night last night! It was so nice to be able to enjoy the boys and not have to fuss and fight! Even after a trip to Home Depot and Wal-Mart looking for an outside faucet cover, since it was getting so cold. Of course, had I listened to my hubby and best friend I would have gone to the store Wednesday night. But honestly, the thought of me and 2 boys in Wal-Mart or Home Depot didn't sound appealing to me at all!! So I just left the water dripping in 2 sinks Wednesday night. It worked, so not too bad. However, last night was suppose to get even colder so I knew that I needed to get over it and go. So off we went, and guess what?? Both Home Depot and Wal-Mart were sold out. Not surprising, but I was hoping for a miracle and one place would have some. The nice man at Wal-Mart told me I could use newspaper and wrap the outside faucet with that and then put a "Wal-Mart" bag over that. Think he loves his job, as he was promoting using a Wal-Mart bag! So I got some duct tape and went home and followed instructions. And of course, I left the water dripping again! It worked!!
So anyway, the boys and I are excited about going to get Ryan from the airport tonight! Yes, it is great to know that the boys and I can survive while Ryan is out of town, the truth of the matter is, that we don't like it!! Its so much better with him home!!
