My thoughts and Opinion

**********FORWARNING**********
If you get offended about someone speaking their opinion.. stop reading now!
This is strickly something that I agree with!

I read this blog from someone else.. and well I had to "borrow" it. I am NOT big into politics, but I am very concerned for our nation as the election draws near.

Please pray for this Nation as Election is nearing!!

Here is what I borrowed!

Don't forget to set aside 15 min. on Nov. 3rd to pray for our country!!!!!!!

'Twas the night before elections
And all through the town
Tempers were flaring
Emotions all up and down!

I, in my bathrobe
With a cat in my lap
Had cut off the TV
Tired of political crap.

When all of a sudden
There arose such a noise
I peered out of my window
Saw Obama and his boys
They had come for my wallet
They wanted my pay
To give to the others
Who had not worked a day!
He snatched up my money

And quick as a wink
Jumped back on his bandwagon
As I gagged from the stink
He then rallied his henchmen
Who were pulling his cart
I could tell they were out
To tear my country apart!

On Fannie, on Freddie,
On Biden and Ayers!
On Acorn, On Pelosi
He screamed at the pairs!
They took off for his cause
And as he flew out of sight
I heard him laugh at the nation
Who wouldn't stand up and fight!

So I leave you to think
On this one final note-
IF YOU DONT WANT SOCIALISM
GET OUT AND VOTE!!!!

**********I also found this to interesting**********

WHO WOULD JESUS VOTE FOR?
1. Jesus would not vote according to his 'pocketbook.'
1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his
riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

2. Jesus is Pro Life.
Jeremiah 1:5 Before you were formed in the body of your mother I had knowledge of you, and before your birth I made you holy...
Psalm 139:13-16
Matthew 19:14 But Jesus said, Suffer the little children, and forbid them
not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

3. Jesus is not tolerant of the homosexual lifestyle.
Romans 1:27-28 And in the same way the men gave up the natural use of the woman and were burning in their desire for one another, men doing shame with men, and getting in their bodies the right reward of their evil-doing. And because they had not the mind to keep God in their knowledge, God gave them up to an evil mind, to do those things which are not right...

4. Jesus would not vote for anyone who has interests in other religions
besides Christianity.
John 14:6 Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one
comes to the Father except through me.

5. Jesus is against welfare (the church should provide for people's needs).
2 Thessalonians 3:10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

6. Jesus is pro Israel.
Nehemiah 13:2 Because they did not give the children of Israel bread and water when they came to them, but got Balaam to put a curse on them: though the curse was turned into a blessing by our God.
Genesis 12:2-3 I will make of you a great nation. I will bless you and make
your name great. You will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you,
and I will curse him who curses you. All of the families of the earth will be
blessed in you.???

7. Jesus knows who really controls the economy.
Matthew 6:31-34 So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear? For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

8. Jesus is not worried about social security or the stock market.
Matthew 6:19-20 Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. It all comes down to this. We need God in America again. Our economy, our children, our marriages, etc. Need healing. While neither candidate looks to be a strong Christian candidate - as a nation which one will lead us closer to God and not farther away?
2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

As Christians, who we vote for does matter to God!

Romans 14:10-12 As surely as I live,' says the Lord, every knee will bow
before me; Every tongue will confess to God.' So then, each of us will give an
account of himself to God.
2 Corinthians 5:10

I'm a Christian and I approve of this message...

Sometimes you just have to listen!!

Months ago, the boys pediatrician suggested me getting a book called "1-2-3 Magic" and reading it and using it as my disciplinary actions. Well I did what she said, I got the book, read it, and thought OK, we'll give this a try. Well, I am pretty sure that only last about 3-4 days in our house. I am guessing I just gave up thinking no way would this work. So the book got put in the pocket behind my side in my truck and there it has sat ever since. Collecting dust, or whatever else winds up in there. ha.. I do have 2 boys :)

Well this stems from my previous post regarding how I want to be as a parent... Wanting to enjoy my boys instead of feeling like all I do is get on to them, 24/7!! So I pulled the book back out on Friday night and refreshed my memory on how it works. No it isn't Magic, but rather a work in progress! It is a time out system, which consists of the boys knowing the rules of the house. As well as knowing what is acceptable and what isn't! Once they do something that they aren't suppose to do, you say, that is 1! If they still continue to do it, you say that is 2! If they stop doing it great!! If not, you say that is 3, and they get time out! ( One minute for their age ). No fussing with them, no arguing, etc. That doesn't mean that you won't get hesitation on going to time out or such, but it is a start. You put them away from all activity ( the point of time out). After their time is up, you tell them they can get out of time out and that is IT! No, well if you hadn't done so and so you wouldn't have gotten time out.. or any explanation. You know how that goes. Its called No Talking No Emotion!! However, I am learning that is a lot easier said than done... but again, its a work in progress!! Ryan and I had a pretty good weekend with the boys, not nearly as much hollering or fussing at them... 1,2,3 your out!! :) There is a lot more involved than what I have told you about, but it would take me a lot longer to completely explain!! We are going to work harder to make this work, and see where it leads us!! We are praying that it does good, and we get to enjoy the boys more than fussing at them!! Pray for us as well, that we can stick to it and hopefully see good results!!

Power of Prayer

Clay and his wife (Dawn) just found out yesterday that they are expecting a baby girl! SHOCK SHOCK... seeing how all of the great grandkids are BOYS!!!!

Sweet baby girl Farmer needs our prayers. During the sonogram yesterday, they detected a hole in her heart!!! I am a firm believer in prayer!! I have always been raised a christian and the older I get the stronger my faith gets! I am asking that everyone that reads this blog to take a second and say a prayer for baby girl Farmer as well as Clay and Dawn. There are some other issues at hand as well, that I would rather not disclose at this time. All I can say, is that we/they needs lots and lots of PRAYER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! God already knows all of the circumstances surrounding all of this, so if you would just please pray for them, I know it will work! God is ALMIGHTY GOD!!

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers!

State Fair 2008

We took the boys to the fair and boy did they have a blast!!! I forgot how tiring the fair is, but we had a great time!!

Pierce talked about riding the horses from the time we told him we were going to the fair!
Colton and me before the ride started!!
Hot Air Ballons
Colton getting ready to fly the plane :)
Pierce says cool dude to flying a plane! (or space ship)
Flying with their arms was way more fun than the sterling wheels
loving the motorcycles!
Pierce blowing the horn on the motorcycle!
This was the spinning dragons. They spun by themselves, and it had the wheel in the middle that you could spin to make yourself go faster! The boys were loving that until we got going really fast and they got dizzy! and man, did momma get dizzy!!
Cruisin in the 18-wheelers
Watch out!! They are driving!

Nascar cars! If I had only thought to take a video of them laughing when they turned the curve. It went a lot faster when it slung them around the curve!

You can sorta see Pierce's face after the curve!

The caterpillar! There wasn't enough room for all 3 of us in one seat, so they got the front seat! They got the best seats at the front!!
Lots of fun!!!
The petting zoo! Pierce wasn't interested in the petting zoo, all he wanted to do was go ride rides!
Daddy and the boys waiting to ride their first ride! (Can you tell Pierce didn't want to take the pic?)
Me and the boys! Colton didn't want to take the pic this time! All that was on their minds were the rides!!!

Pierce finally decided it was ok to pet them. But only the baby goat!!

Little pot belly pigs! Both the boys like them!
Colton feeding the sheep! He was being careful... he didn't want them trying to eat his fingers. :)
