Everyone needs a Road Trip

So for Spring Break, we surprised the boys with a trip to San Antonio to see Uncle Clay, Aunt Dawn, Shane and Katelyn!  Clay had be stationed there for months doing work for the Army, and had some vacation time so we took advantage of it.

C-Man being a goober at lunch!!

Of course, this is the best I could get out of this child!  His daddy has brain washed
him about pictures and most of the time he refuses to take pictures and if he does it is usually a face that says "Fine Momma!"

Monk said maybe the time will pass faster if I sleep haha!
No, really--- driving has this effect on him almost all of the time!

Colton is definitely my mini-me but I had been told that he looks a lot like his Uncle Clay.
I never really saw it until this picture..
Yep, he looks like CP (scary haha)  Love you CP

ReRe brought KK a baby doll for a late birthday present, and ReRe was giving her sugars!!

KK loves her Colton!!!

And you think that the bridges around here look crazy and confusing,
try driving through San Antonio, Lord it gives me a headache looking at it!!
Thankful that CP did most of the driving when we were all together!! I can't imagine what my road rage would have been like if I had to drive in that!!!

Such a sweet moment!!
KK wasn't having it any other way BUT like this!!!

This sweet girl knows how to melt LeLe's heart and pretty much get anything she wants!!!
Too bad she lives too far away for me to see her and her brother more!!
(HINT HINT CP!

Pierce was waiting on breakfast and drew me this picture!!
He has such a sweet, loving heart!!  Proof that he does love his momma
even though he is eat up with his Daddy!! :)

This sweet boy melts my heart too!!!
I had to go back out to the truck from something while we waited on breakfast (pretty sure it was to get an iPod--haha--important things in life).  So Shane and Pierce went with me and when I turned around this goofy boy was climbing and hanging upside down!!

Stay tuned for more pictures of our Crazy SB adventure of 2013.......

Making time for Important Things in Life

Even through the complete craziness of our lives, there has to be time for fun and play right?
Family is one of the most important things in life that should never be taken for granted.

This ROTTEN child thinks that he belongs in my bed, or should I say, "His Bed" as he calls it.
He will tell you that the he wants our bed and we should let him have it and take his bed... haha..
I love you Monk but that isn't happening!!!

This precious baby is another piece of my heart!!  Love him like he is mine!!

A day at Cretia's house with G'ma, ReRe, Cretia, Kyle, Jr. and the boys is bound to be fun all the way around!!!
C-man shooting his bb gun and loving life!!!

Cretia couldn't stand it and had to jump in on the fun!!
These 2 have such a sweet, precious bond!
Cretia kept C-man from the time I went back to work until he wasn't about a
1 1/2 old!  I love to see these 2 together!!

Pierce and Kyle, Jr. had to climb on the hay!!  So fun watching them play together.
Kyle, Jr. calls Pierce "P" and follows him everywhere and does everything that Pierce does.
It is so sweet to watch the bond between them grow!!

They thought it would be A LOT of fun to take hand fulls of hay and throw at Momma/LeLe!
Kyle, Jr. would laugh and laugh!!
Memories that will last a life time!!

My C-man sitting in the wagon (that is too small for him--haha)
Loving on Roscoe!!
That smile melts my heart!!!

And of course,  being in Nursing School means a lot of this!!
STUDYING!!
(and less play, like above but the above is so refreshing to the heart and soul)

Great sayings!!!  This worked for me A LOT!!!!
I can't tell you how many times I thought I couldn't breath, wanted to cry, though of quitting cause of the stress and the thoughts of missing out on SO much of the boys and Ryan!
But through it all, EVERY TIME I prayed, God gave me an Amazing Peace of Mind and reminded me that I am doing this for HIS GLORY and to give Him ALL THE PRAISE!!!

Rewind to the beginning of the year

This year started off fast and hasn't slowed down!!  We enjoyed family time during the holidays and then enjoyed the rest of our time out of school before we jumped back in to finish out the year.  The boys were headed back to finish the 1st and 4th grade and I was headed back to finish my LAST semester of Nursing School!!!  I had NO idea what this semester would be like but it didn't take long for me to realize that we were going from 50mph to more than 100mph!! Man what a Roller Coaster Ride it was!!!

1st Day of 4th Semester Here I come!!!

This was definitely part of my routine during the cold months.
Come home from class, start the coffee, start the fire and
start the homework/studying!!!

We even had a "small" snow day this year!  Definitely not like what
we have gotten in the last couple of years, but the boys enjoyed it while it lasted,
cause it didn't last long at all!!

Pierce working on his Snow Angel!

Next, Colton started on his Snow Angel!

Didn't take the boys long to realize it was cold and they were done with the snow, thank goodness,
I am NOT a cold weather person AT ALL!!!

This is something I found on the internet called the
"GET ALONG SHIRT"
and let me tell you, they HATED it!!!!
But I told them, they were gonna have to learn to get along at some point in life!!!
Needless to say, they both told Ryan and I that they didn't want to have to wear the "Get along shirt" ever again!!

A day in the Lab at school, refreshing our minds on all of our skills!!
LOVE these ladies to pieces!!

My clinical group started out with clinicals in Vicksburg, ekk, but Thank Heavens,
Sarah's boyfriend has a deer camp about 20 min away from the hospital so we would pack up and go on Sundays and then come home after clinicals on Tuesdays!
This is what Nursing Students do on Super Bowl Sunday!
Try and attempt to watch the game, while working on clinical paperwork and getting in bed
at a decent time cause boy did 4 am come EARLY!!

Thankfully, I was able to have time to enjoy this 3 boys that are my heart!!
A night at the Rodeo, which is one of the boys favorite things to do!!

Things that I found during the semester that always made me laugh
because Lord know this is NOT the truth haha!!! (if my instructors read this, know I love you)

And this MOST definitely fit me and my classmates from Day 1 of Nursing School but by the time we hit 4th semester this was more accurate than any other time!!!!!

So there you have the start of our year, and stay tuned for more updates and pictures of our crazy but fun life!!

Random thoughts

Lately, I have been thinking about things that just warm my heart!  I like to write them down so that one day I can go back and read them!!

  • To know that my lord and savior loves me unconditionally, even when I fail over and over!  He is always there to pick me up and hug me and say, I'm here, I can do this for you and I love you!
  • 4 words that MELT my heart every time... "I love you, Momma!"
  • Having the MOST amazing, selfless, caring, loving, providing husband!!
  • To hear the boys getting along, playing and NOT fighting!  (GREAT music to my ears)
  • To be blessed with the opportunity to further my education and  do something that I never thought I would want, much less want it as much as I do!
  • To have family and friends that love and support me!
  • To be able to afford to buy another house
  • To be able to spend last summer and this summer with the boys (even though after just reading a friends blog, I feel the same way she does).  I am with the boys all the time but am I really with and spending time with them?  :( Not like I should, I am happy when they get along and play and have friends to play with!! Must work on this!  They will be gone before I know it!
  • That as a parent, it is SO hard having to discipline the boys!  I KNOW that they need it and it will be in their best interest but it is so hard having to be the "mean" one and be strict.  But I refuse to have brats/heathen children that have no discipline and training.
  • The fact that my husband works SO hard and SO much to allow me to follow my dream and my calling in life, nursing school!!! There is NO way I could do it without him.  He is my rock!!!
  • Thankful for the opportunity that Ryan and I had to buy a house, even while I am in school.  We didn't think that would be possible and we would have to wait until I was finished with school, but God had other plans and for that we are thankful
  • Thankful for the many reminders that God is ALWAYS on my side and will never leave me nor forsake me!! Praise God!!
  • For the many, many reminders throughout life, and Nursing School included, that God is will me all the time and he will either talk directly to me and remind me or he talks to others for them to minister and speak to me through them..... He is Amazing!!!
