When you graduate, you hear all of this advice about all the do's and don'ts of life. And you are thinking to yourself, heck what do they know, or why do I need to know that or do that, I'll never use that. They don't know what I want to do with my life, or they are just telling me that to tell me. But its amazing, the older you get, you start looking back and realize that a lot of the things that you were told after graduating, or heck, while you were growing up, was for your benefit and that it really did mean something. Guess that's the part you learn as you live and learn. Growing up makes you realize a lot of things. Having a family and kids of your own, opens your eyes to a lot of things. I remember that at one point, I didn't really think that my family was all that important. Yea they would always be there but why do I really need to visit or just sit and talk. Man has my view of family changed. After having the boys, I realized that family is everything. They are always there through thick and thin, whether it be a hard time, needing someone to vent to or a shoulder to cry on. ( also what Best Friends are for)If it wasn't for family, I would be in a lot of trouble! We wouldn't know family history if we didn't sit down and listen to our grandparents tell us about everyone. This song that I am attaching is called Wear Sunscreen, it came out in 99, the year that me and my best friends graduated. I thought I would share. I'm much more appreciative of it now than I was then.
