Such great timing

Our church is reading through the One Year Bible! Man it is powerful! However, over time, I have gotten behind in my readings. (still working on my discipline to more faithful to my bible reading and my private time with God) However I was reading today, and like always I pray before I start reading and ask God to have me to read what he would have me to read and to hear what he what he would have me to hear through his word!! Lately, I have been struggling. I closer I get with God, the more I realize that the enemy is ALWAYS going to try to shot me down and get in my head about everything!! The enemy can't stand the fact that I am walking closer and closer with God and he is always out to do his best to "derail" me! And for the last few weeks it has been working!! It is so hard to admit that! Because as a Christian I want to be proud of my walk with God and to know that I am leading the life that he would have me to live! Don't we all want that? But the truth of the matter is, that as a Christian, I am ALWAYS going to face adversity and troubled times. And that is when the enemy is on high alert to attach me! It happens to all of us! But I read a verse to day, that really touched me and reminded me that NO matter what, God is always there for me and that I will always be able to turn to him through everything! He will never leave me nor forsake me, PRAISE GOD!!

The verse reminded me that I just need to stop and reconnect with God and he will renew my spirit, my thoughts and every aspect of my life! How amazing is that? That makes me so happy knowing that! What an AWESOME God I serve!!

The verse was Psalm 51:10:
"Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me."

Oh how great that verse is! There is no doubt that I was behind on my reading for a reason. God knew that I would need this verse! His timing is ALWAYS perfect!! His love and mercy is far greater than I ever deserve but through his sacrifice, I am given his love and mercy! Thank you Father God for your love and mercy and unfailing love!!

Enemy, get behind me for you have no place in my heart or my life!! I have the authority of Jesus Christ in me. This reminds me of something we talked about in bible study last week. It comes from our book that we are using called "Secrets of the Secret Place". It says "Swing your sword against the encroaching tentacles that seek to overgrow your secret life with God."

God mentions several times..when tough times come, not if they come. Satan works extremely hard on God's children because he is threatened and he was warning us.

Don't you just love God's timing in things....so awesome he knew you would be behind in your devotion!

Great Post!!
