I ventured to the doctor's office yesterday with the boys for check ups! I had told the boys that morning that I would be picking them up early to go to the doctor's office, and of course the first words out of Colton's mouth was "Are we getting shots?" Being the sweet momma that I am, I didn't want to completely freak the boys out so I said I wasn't sure, but if so we would get through them like big strong tough boys! (Colton was just going for an ADHD check up and Pierce his 5 yr old check up topped off with 3 shots) I didn't want to lie to them but didn't want a melt down before we ever left the house yesterday morning. So after I picked the boys up, Pierce and I were talking about the hearing test that they would be doing at the dr.'s office. In the meantime, Colton (who has a memory like an elephant --- NEVER FORGETS) blurts out "Momma I have only had a hearing test when I got my 5 yr old SHOTS! Thanks Colton! Yes, Pierce is getting shots but he is a tough boy that will do great. Pierce never said anything but got quiet and clingy! Can't say that I really blame him, I'm grown and I still don't like shots, who does?
We had a great appointment! Pierce is doing great, he is 40 lbs (50 percentile) and 45 inches tall (75 percentile). Colton has grown almost another full inch in 4 months. We were there in Jan for a check up on Colton's medicine and had grown 3 1/2 inches in 10 months! OMG, slow down please!!!!
In the process of Pierce being checked out by our wonderful Dr. V, she asked how Daddy was doing. Pierce said he was bad! "He's bad?" asked Dr. V. Yes ma'am he's bad cause he doesn't mind momma.. ha ha!! We got a good laugh out of that!
I don't have babies anymore! Where is time going?? Seriously, it needs to slow down please! Pierce is all set to go to "BIG" school in August! And Colton will be going to 2nd grade!
