Life has been rather crazy lately. I have been very busy at work ( which I'm not complaining, it makes the day go fast ) and at home! Here are a few of the things going on.
Pierce seems to have inherited his daddys sinus problems, poor little guy! He has been having problems for a while, and after repeated trips to his Peditrician, she told us to go see our ENT, Dr. Reed. So at the end of Dec. we went and saw him, thinking that we would probably have to do sinus surgery on Pierce to get him better and get him to stay well. Well we started off by trying 30 days of oral antibotics! About 2 1/2 weeks into the medicine he started getting all nasty, running nose and cruppy cough! We finished the meds anyway. We went back to see Dr. Reed last week to see how he was doing after 30 days of med. He said he didn't look too bad that day, but that we were the ones with him all the time, and we told him about the nasty nose he was just getting over at the time. So the next step of this journey is to get a culture from his sinus cavity and see what they are dealing with. And also put a pic line in my sweet mans arm :(. We go for this tomorrow, Friday, Feb 6. They will put him to sleep and do the culture and then put the pic line in. I am not really sure what all this entitles right now, but I will be asking lots of questions! I'll keep you posted on how that turns out!
Ryan has had the sinus crud for about 2 weeks now! Like father, like son! He went to the Dr last week and the told him it was just drainage. But I am thinking otherwise! Not that I am a Dr. or anything, but he sounds awful, feels awful and is coughing his head off! So Dr. Wife said that if he wasn't feeling better by the weekend, he'd be making another trip to the Dr. And any of you that know Ryan well enough, knows that isn't an easy job getting him to go to the Dr. Believe it or not, he is very stubborn when he comes to Drs! UGH! Love you baby!
Colton has been staying well! Thank goodness. He has a runny nose, and a small cough, but I am sure that is just from the Lovely Mississippi weather that we have! Who isn't gonna have some kind of cold all the time when it is 44 one day and almost 70 the next! Gotta love the Mississippi weather! He is still doing great in school. They are having a school party for Valentine's Day! OMG, he is 6 and already starting that. HA! No really, I am excited about it. Parents aren't allowed, but I think they'll have a great time. It is tomorrow night from 5:30 - 7, so that isn't bad. They'll get to have pizza, drinks, snack, and lots of fun games to play. I think that will be good for Colton to have fun with his friends! Then he is going to spend the day Saturday, with his friend Dylan. It is Dylan's birthday and they are going to have a "boy" day with his parents. I am sure they'll have a blast.
My school is really cranking these days. So that just adds to the fun in our family! But there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and it isn't a train! It is called May!
